Coffee Chats: An informal 30min session anyone can join to engage in meaningful conversation & build community​. Opportunities to sponsor a Coffee Chat are available. Contact us for more information. 

Book Club: Virtual discussions between fellow readers of featured book facilitated by ACMPMI. Opportunity to meet featured authors at some of the book club sessions. 
On The Menu: Our take on the Lunch & Learn we are all familiar with. Join to learn about the latest trends in CM.​ Opportunities to present are available. Contact us if you'd like to present. 


Happy Hour: In person Happy Hour opportunity to network. Coordinated both regionally and state-wide. ​

    Are you ready to take your change management career to the next level?

    Earning your Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) designation is one of the most recognized ways to demonstrate your expertise, credibility, and commitment to the profession.

    As part of the CCMP application process, candidates must complete 21 hours of training from a Qualified Education Provider (QEP). We’re pleased to share that ACMP Michigan members have access to special training discounts through two QEP partners — giving you flexible options based on your timeline and learning preferences.

    Springboard — Chapter Cohort Opportunity (Standard / 1st Edition)

    Springboard is offering a special ACMP Michigan chapter cohort for experienced practitioners who want to complete CCMP training and exam prep before the exam changes on April 1, 2026.

    What it is

    • Hybrid live-online experience
    • 21-hour Change Management Process & CCMP Exam Prep program
    • Combines live sessions with pre-recorded content

    What you’ll receive

    • Comprehensive CCMP exam preparation materials, including:
    • READY, Set, CCMP Exam Prep guide
    • Flashcards and worksheets
    • Online exam simulator with 780+ prep questions
    • 150-question mock exam

    How it works

    • Minimum of 5 ACMP Michigan members to form a cohort
    • Three 4-hour live virtual sessions (12 hours total)
    • 10 hours of pre-recorded content completed individually

    Targeted Schedule

    • Thursdays 12 - 4 PM
    • Start date is flexible, but must complete by March 6
    • When at least 5 participants sign-up, final registration and schedule information will be shared with registrants. 

    Investment: $1,500 per person

    Important note: To use the Standard (1st Edition) exam materials, you must submit your CCMP application and take the exam on or before April 1, 2026.

    Bio:

    Eric A. Budd is an experienced leader who drives continual improvement in service and manufacturing organizations using methods grounded in Dr. W. Edwards Deming’s work. Before returning to Michigan, he served as Improvement Program Manager (ACE) at United Technologies, teaching and leading Value Stream Management and lean implementation events in North America and overseas. With Mary Jenkins, he co-developed the original CQI Quality Academy, which he has led and updated since 2012, and now leads the IQI Academy for Leadership Fundamentals. In 2017, the Michigan Lean Consortium honored him with a Distinguished Service Award. He holds a B.S. in Information Management and an M.S. in Quality Systems Management and serves on the ASQ Deming Medal Committee.

    • A practical definition of "structure"
    • Examples of structures that impact change management
    • How to apply knowledge of "structure" to avoid tampering (i.e., making a change that makes performance worse rather than improving it)
